The JSDA set up the Working Group on Recommendable Uses of Credit Ratings in July,2010.Meeting five times,the WG has been verifying and evaluating prevailing uses of credit ratings in Japan in light of changes in environments surrounding credit ratings,and considering whether there will be any other recommendable methods for credit risk evaluations as alternatives for the current credit rating system from the viewpoint of investor protection.

The interim report posted here summarizes the discussion so far conducted in the WG's meetings.
